At least 10 people were injured today in two near-simultaneous bomb explosions near a government office in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province.
One bomb went off at a bus stop in the city centre, which destroyed several vehicles. Two vehicles were seen burning.
Seven minutes later, another blast occurred in Shebaz Town locality of the city.
The first bomb was planted in a car outside the office of the state broadcasting regulator Quetta Television and the second on a plot of land nearby, local police said.
The blasts smashed windows of nearby buildings.
Ambulances rushed to the sites and took the injured to the main city hospital.
Besides the building of the Quetta television, the office of police chief was also located near the site of the first blast.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombings.
