Natwar seeks terrorists' extradition from Bangladesh

2005-08-02 2 August 2005: On his first visit to Bangladesh since becoming foreign minister, Natwar Singh is likely to push for extraditing eleven North East terrorist leaders holed up in that country, including the ULFA

Officials said that Singh would also raise general Bangladeshi inaction in seizing the assets of North East groups in the country, terminating their businesses in real estate, hotels, tourism, transportation, shipping, and technical education, and ending their money laundering activities.

The foreign minister is likely to make the pitch that bilateral relations would improve if Bangladesh showed commitment to fight terrorism, and this would not only enhance Bangladesh
