Russia and China will submit a new proposal to the UN Security Council next week to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing Iranian nuclear crisis and urge the world body to show more patience.
Russia and China are now reaching out to UN Security Council permanent and non-permanent members with a fresh draft which will counter the Western proposal to impose economic sanctions against Iran with immediate effect followed by a military campaign.
The Russian and Chinese draft do not speak of a time bound solution to the crisis nor if Iran will be pressed to abandon its secret nuclear weapons programme.
Britain and Germany have said Iran is buying time and that the new proposal will assist it to avoid sanctions for non-compliance.
