Indian National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) Reconstituted2006-08-12 The National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) was today reconstituted with former Army Chief Gen (retd) V N Sharma, former IAF Chief S Krishnaswami and former RAW head A S Dulat figuring in the key 19-member organisation.Former Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Chairman M R Srinivasan and ex-Special Director of Intelligence Bureau S P Talukdar have also been included in the multi-disciplinary body headed by former Foreign Secretary M K Rasgotra. Among others to be included in the NSAB are K V Rajan, former Ambassador to Nepal, V K Grover, retired IFS officer, Rakesh Datta, head of Punjab University's Department of Defence Studies, N Balakrishnan, Associate Director of Indian Institute of Science, Alka Acharya, professor with JNU, N Ravi, Journalist with Hindu and Wasbir Hussain, associate fellow of Institute of Conflict Management. K S Rao, Former Chief Secretary of Sikkim, N S Sisodia, former Finance Secretary, V K Jain, former Special Secretary in the Home Ministry and Roddam Narasimha, Chairman of Engineering Mechanics Unit in the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, who were included last year, will continue to be its members. The NSAB provides inputs to the National Security Council, helping it in forming policies on issues like foreign affairs and defence. Sponsored Links
