Pakistani troops today fired heavily at Indian forces at a forward post in Krishna Ghatti sector in Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said here. However, the Indian troops exercised restraint and did not retaliate, Lt. Colonel S D Goswami told reporters.
Giving details, the spokesman said some unidentified ultras fired about three rounds of Rocket Propelled Gun (RPG) on Indian post in Nagri Tekri area of Krishna Ghatti sector of Poonch district this morning. It was followed by heavy firing by Pakistani troops from across the Line of Control and continued till afternoon, he said, adding "our troops exercised restraint and did not retaliate".
