Infiltration bid foiled, three terrorists killed in Kashmir2005-10-03 Security forces foiled an infiltration bid by militants along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, where three ultras were among four persons killed and two Hizbul militants, including a woman, arrested since last night, a police spokesman said here today.Two Pakistani infiltrators were killed in an encounter with security forces guarding the LoC at Domrigund in Kralpora area of Kupwara district last night, the spokesman said. He said two AK rifles, eight magazines and 26 rounds were recovered from the possession of the slain militants, who were confronted by the troops when they were attempting to sneak into the valley from across the border. Security forces killed another militant during search operations at Nara-Sirothi in Harni sector of Poonch district today. An AK rifle, a hand-grenade, a wireless set and some ammunition were recovered from him, the spokesman said. He said militants killed one Sajjad Ahmad Ganai by slitting his throat at Rawalpora-Shopian in Pulwama district today. The motive behind the killing was being ascertained. Security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, active for the past eight years, and his woman accomplice during an operation at Pull in Doda district yesterday, he said adding, over Rs two lakh were recovered from the possession of the duo. Two Hizbul militants laid down their arms before police in Doda district and handed over two AK rifles, four magazines, 10 rounds and a wireless set yesterday, the spokesman said. Sponsored Links
